15+ years of turning ambitious ideas and complex problems into clear, intuitive and beautifully crafted UX/UI, systems, brands and digital experiences.
Turning ambiguous requirements, business goals, and user needs into a clear product direction.
Making complicated workflows understandable, efficient, and intuitive.
Creating polished interfaces where typography, hierarchy, motion, and detail reinforce usability.
Designing scalable patterns, components, and experiences rather than solving individual screens in isolation.
Bringing my background in branding and advertising into digital products so the experience feels coherent from product strategy through visual expression.
The best products live at the intersection of user needs, business goals, technical reality and close collaboration.
Complex products don't need to feel complicated. I look for the structure, hierarchy, and interactions that make difficult things understandable.
I try to solve the pattern rather than just the screen. Good systems create consistency for users and speed for product teams.
Typography, interaction, motion, hierarchy, and small details influence how understandable and trustworthy a product feels.
The strongest products don't come from designers working in isolation. I work closely with product, engineering, research, stakeholders, and users throughout the process.
I've always believed the best work happens when people solve problems together. I care a lot about the people I work with, but I'm more than comfortable speaking up when I think something isn't working. That balance took time to learn, and it shapes how I lead design teams today.
"Alen handles ambiguity better than almost anyone I've worked with. He'll ask the right questions early, bring engineering into the conversation before it's too late, and still defend a decision clearly when it matters."Product Manager
"What stood out working with Alen was how implementation-aware his designs were. Components were consistent, states were thought through, and he was genuinely easy to build for."Engineering Lead
"He balances craft with pragmatism. The visual quality never suffers, but he also knows when something just needs to ship. Reliable, direct, and easy to trust with ambiguous problems."Design / Creative Leader
My career started closer to brand and visual communication, where I learned how typography, composition, storytelling, and emotion shape perception. As my work moved deeper into digital experiences and product design, the problems became increasingly complex, but that foundation never disappeared.
Today I combine product thinking, UX, interaction design, visual craft, and systems thinking to take ideas from ambiguity to polished, shippable experiences.
Away from screens, I'm usually behind a camera or building something in the shop. Photography taught me to pay attention to composition and small details. Making things taught me how to continually fix my mistakes :)
Looking through a camera viewfinder has influenced how I think about composition, hierarchy, storytelling, observation, light, and small details.
Building physical things reinforces something I strongly believe about design: a good idea still has to survive contact with reality.
I'm always interested in thoughtful products, ambitious teams, and difficult problems worth solving.
